Audio Divina
in which David John Lang listens to Good Music
About this Blog
I am a music lover.
Yes, it's true that I'm also a composer. But this is a listening blog. I'm not going to write about my own compositions. The purpose of this blog is to share my love for music that other people have created. Music that has moved me, excited me, fascinated me or terrified me. Music that tells me about the world. Music that tells me about people. Music that I want you to hear.
I'm calling this Audio Divina because I think music can be much more than something to enjoy (although it is that too, of course!). As a follower of Christ, I believe music is a gift from God for the whole world. It's a special way for us to connect with each other as humans; but it is also, I find, a special way to connect with God.
How? Good question. I guess my answer is this blog.
