I love writing about music.
In particular, I love to write concert program notes. A good program note, written with an authentic passion for the music, can enable audiences to feel as deeply involved in a concert as the musicians. My notes are thoroughly-researched, thoughtful and creative.
I have written program notes for organisations including the Australian String Quartet, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Symphony, Symphony Services International and the Elder Conservatorium of Music.
I am happy to write about single pieces, but I particularly love writing about a whole program, exploring the connections between pieces and uncovering the overall narrative of a concert.
