One of Australia's prettiest bird songs
Program NotesColluricincla harmonica is the scientific name of the grey shrike-thrush, a small and rather drab-looking bird, hard to spot but easy to hear. The violin imitates its accelerating whistle-like call, and a kind of musical conversation ensues, as between different birds calling in the bush.
